I ran into the same dilemma as you Rob, regarding Log Analyzing Softwares (WebTrends Vs The rest of the world - HitBox, ClickTracks, Urchin, NetTracker etc.)
The posts here were very helpfull, enforcing my intuition regarding WebTrends Over Complication. I've installed WT7 Trial version about 3 days ago and about to go nuts over tring to config it... I gave up trying to Trial it.
Still not sure about Urchin Vs. HBX.
Either way I think eventually I'll go for the clicktracks solution (Or Urchin... )

I think LiveStats does a poor job of marketing itself because it appears to always be outside of SEMs radar. This thread is a good example of that.

For the record we are only interested in the "Enterprise" packages and hoping to make an educated decision before our investment.
Anyone read the Sherpa Web Analystics report and have a few insights to share? Haven't got to it myself yet...
Again, we are most interested in tracking A/B testing and conversions....our needs for the project are conversion tracking related across a range of media (newsletters, PPC and organic) to ensure marketing buying dollars are well spent.

For the enterprise tracking on all of those levels - just wait a few months if you can, as there is going to be a few added features coming from both of these providers . . .

That probably means Urchin 7 which would be great. For the record, my experiece with Urchin (non "enterprise") is that the upgrades come with it which is great.

For instance, I pay a whopping $1 per month per server for Urchin. Max of 100 domains/Urchin accounts being tracked per server license. A penny per month per domain isn't bad.

We actually buy managed servers and our provider provides us with a great deal on Urchin and we are very happy with the product. It's the upgrade to the eCommerce version ($4000 per liscence) that we trying to make an intelligent decision about right now...Click Tracks at Pro $3000 vs Urchin eCommerce at $4000. These two are leading the way right now unless anyone has something I should know....
re ABOVE: my bad...we are using Urchin 5.6....so I guess Matt was referring to 6.0
IN OTHER NEWS...I used to like Urchin website. Just noticed they released a redesign - probably the worst new website release I've seen from a larger company....unlegible fonts, broken links...nobody's perfect, but their site makes me think they are lost.
Come on Urchin, get it together...
