I have an online website, some friend on the fourm suggest me to migrate the url from http to https. What does it mean?

Who can tell me the difference between http and https.

The letter 'S', and it stands for Secure which means the communications between the client and the server are encrypted.




SSL is only necessary for exchanges that transfer sensitive or financial information so you can tell your 'friend' that they are wrong.
