Hi there,
I am cross linking my websites and am wondering if anyone knows if using a drop down menu with the websites in it vs plain a href links will be detrimental when google comes crawling?
Thanks for your help!

What do you mean by you are cross linking your websites? Are you attempting to artificially inflate your PageRank? If so, it's a bad idea.
Drop down menus are generally not a good way to have your links be followed. I haven't checked lately, but the spiders used to not be able to following the links within them.

Actually, they are sites within our pregancy and parenting websites. Like linking our ecommerce sites to our info sites. Is that a bad idea as they are related?

No, it's not a bad idea if it makes sense to do so, but it sounds like you're purposely going in and just now adding links to the other sites. Is that correct? Or are you just in the process of building these sites?Actually, they are sites within our pregancy and parenting websites. Like linking our ecommerce sites to our info sites. I actually just built the site that I wanted to link, but I have figured out how to incorporate links into the site instead of adding them as an afterthought in the footer.
Thanks for your help!
Mel,
Those look like great tools but it was so confusing to me! Are those products just for Dreamweaver?? I code myself but would LOVE to be able to integrate the drop down menus that are spiderable. I never knew that the search engines didn't "do" drop down menus and I have a site that is just about totally drop down menus
NOW I understand why it doesn't do well in the search engines!
