So, I'm sitting in San Jose and I wanted to add a redirected URL to my site with a tracking link. I didn't have access to my .htaccess file as it appears that I can't see it using my ftp program (filtered out?). So I tried doing the redirect through my control panel. When I went to visit the highrankings.com site after making the change, there was an internal server error everywhere! Ackkkk!!

I had a feeling if I could reupload my original .htacess file, all would be well, but I didn't have a copy of it on my laptop (which is what started this whole mess). Thankfully, I called home and my daughter Corie was there. She's familiar with ftp, etc., and was able to upload the file for me. When I checked everything was all better.! If she wasn't there, Timmy probably could have done it, but it would have taken a little bit more of a walkthrough. I believe he's uploaded files before, however. But if it was just my husband home, I probably would have been on the phone a loooooong time explaining how to do it...

Anyway, all is well now except for the new redirect I was trying to put on...oh well. Did anyone happen to try to log on during the 10 or so minutes I had things messed up?

Yup, about 20 minutes ago. I sent the official "you've got trouble" email to the address the error page suggested.

Oh dear!
Well. That's pretty funny. Forum maintenance as child labor...
