Hello everybody

which will be better for SEO? having the whole "engineering" word or just "eng" in domain, i prefer "eng" since its easier to type

but better SEO is more important.

Exactly. Which one will be more likely to be easily remembered and used by your customers?


The primary value of a domain name is for business branding and name recognition. It carries very little value, if any, for SEO. Especially since Google has begun discounting non-branded keyword-rich domain names. :)


You can, of course, buy them both (assuming they're both available). Use whichever one you think will be more memorable / more likely used by your customers and 301 redirect the other.
