How To Redirect Domain Names In Wordpress?

Best Answer torka , 30 October 2013 - 01:21 PM

Yes, you can. If you're redirecting these domains, you don't need to install Wordpress (or any other CMS) for those domains. If your hosting company allows you to upload a .htaccess file and it works with the type of server you have, that's probably the easiest way to put a 301 redirect in place. (It's so easy, even I can do it... ;) )

Ok,

I have three domains that need to point to my first page in WordPress.

How do I do this?

I am looking at the original index.html file on the web server and it has this in the source.

<head>
  <title></title>
  <meta http-equiv="refresh"
 content="0;url= namepfthepage.html" />

Before I upload Wordpress to the web server, I need to figure out how to make it where they type in
three different domain names and all of them point to my first page in WordPress.

Thanks :)

I think I can do this at the domain level and not have to script for it.

Thanks Torka!

I built the new site in Wordpress, :clapping: so I am going to install it on the server, but I found a place in the hosting control panel that allows the person to redirect/forward your domain. I think I'll just do that.
