Hi,

Does anyone know if either Bing or Yahoo pass as part of the referrer query string the ranking position and if so what the variable name is?

Google provides the rank position via the 'cd' variable, I just don't seem to be able to find the Bing / Yahoo equivalent.

Thanks,

1DMF

either Bing or Yahoo

Bing and Yahoo are one and the same where search results are concerned.

I've never heard of them doing that, but I'm not positive.

Bing and Yahoo are one and the same where search results are concerned.

Well not in terms of where the visitor came from, if I search in Yahoo my GRE tool shows the visit coming from uk.search.yahoo.com , not Bing?

Bing does seem to have some weird numbers in the QS, but it seems 1st page shows '-1' and all pages thereafter seem to have an attribute 'First' and a value of '11' for the second page.

I can't quite work out what Bing is actually telling me regarding position to me it looks like it just tells you what page.

Can anyone confirm this?
