I am logged into Google Analytics, I selected the traffic sources then overview and I am looking at the "keyword" information.

The highlighted part in blue represents "search traffic". Underneath the "Keyword" value there is no keyword and it makes up 173 visits and 67.84% visits.

When I click on this value and it drills down further it gives me more things like pages visits and bounce rate, but I really want to know why there is no keyword and its my highest value??

Does anyone know why??  :scooter:

Yes. Look up "secure search" and "(not provided)" at Google for the answer.

No, I think it's really the end of days for all the gurus trying to teach people bogus SEO tactics. Well, at least one could hope.  :)

But wait, How will they determine what pages rank where if they don't use keywords?

I am not understanding how secure search even works??

I am not understanding how secure search even works??

It just runs under HTTPS instead of HTTP so the communication between client and server is encrypted to prevent "W.A.R. sniifing" interception.

And it has the added benefit [from Google's POV] that referral data is not sent over HTTPS therefore not logged at the server.
