I suspect that my site may have been affected by the Panda update.  If I were to choose to change my "thin content to good content ratio", would a first step be to "noindex" pages which are 'thin' by definitition?  Pages like:

  • Disclaimer
  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy
  • Forgot Password
  • Reset Password
  • Recover Username

I don't have thousands or even hundreds of pages on my site so I'm looking for band-aids while I build-up my custom content pages.  Or in the grand scheme of things is this a waste of time?

Or, am I "over-thinking" things?  :)

I really doubt those pages are a problem. Thin content doesn't really refer to pages that don't have a lot of content as a lost password form obviously would, but to pages that have very little content of value. A thin content page usually exists just so you'll have someplace to stick an advertisement.

Nope. Those are not going to be something that would cause you to lose traffic from any Panda update.
