Until today I've never come across IP canonicalization

I've always ensured www and non-www forms redirect to one URL but I now read that if an IP address isn't redirected to the domain name, duplicate content issues can result.

I cannot find anything about this on High Rankings, can anyone advise if this is an issue worth fixing please ?

Utter and total garbage!

Obviously invented by some 'expert' that does not understand DNS, Servers and Virtual Hosts

You can safely ignore that 'advice'
