OK - when and if the testing tool starts working again for you, if it says that you're OK then that's all you can do. It doesn't guarantee that the authorship will show in the snippets. But if the testing tool says there's a problem, you need to fix it to stand a chance of being listed.

But when it comes to the posts on /blog which is a wordpress blog it doesn't work.

Like I said before pretty sure its a wordpress issue

So we need a wordpress expert me thinks.

Use the WordPress "custom fields" setup, then add some code to display them using "the_loop" on  "single.php".or in the "sidebar" depending on where you want to insert them in the rendered document.

Ok

Read up on rhe core functions

get_post_custom_values, get_post_meta, get_post_custom

There are a few more that can be used but I have found those do everything I have required up to now.

I wrote up this post about setting up Google authorship, it assumes that you are using a self hosted WP and add Yoast plugins. By no means does it always work but it has several times for me.

Hope this helps, I end up coming back to this when I hit an authorship wall. And honestly I have done all the steps and still hit a wall.

PS If that is spammy to include above link, then mod please remove.
