Broken links are sometimes unavoidable, and I do try to review all my links every few months or so and make corrections as necassary.

How do broken links affect search engines ?

Here is my situation: I am considering adding a weekly post to my blog where, in addition to readable content, I list anywhere from 2 to 10 links to outside sources who have open job positions.   I anticipate some of these links may become broken within a week or two, or when the job is no longer available.  Is there a way to create these links without a negative effect ?  Perhaps have them as nofollow?

Thanks for any assistance.

My guess would be that as long as you're reviewing them every few months you should be fine.
