Hi,

I use wordpress and all in one SEO plugin for my website. I have got a bigger problem. The title I set for my site title, is not displaying correctly.

Take a look,

http://1.bp.blogspot...1600/prob-1.jpg

I have only one problem in last 10 days. But, today I saw my site Page and Category title structure changed in SERP

Take a look,

I have posted a support in Plugin, they haven't found any problem and said It is OK. But, why google is showing like this?

Can you please give me the correct answer?

Yes, Google changes what they display for Titles whenever they feel like it.

From John Mu of Google:

We may choose to replace titles which are repeated on a number of pages or which otherwise appear to be suboptimal – that's probably what's happening here. To resolve that, it would be a good idea to make sure that the titles are unique, compelling and relevant to every page and that the important parts are visible in the first part of the title text. You can get some help with finding duplicated titles in Webmaster Tools under Diagnostics / HTML suggestions.

If you have any questions regarding this, it's generally a good idea to pop in to our webmaster help forum and ping us there :).

This is 3 years old so it's been going on for quite some time.

OK.

But, what about the category and page title structure.

I have set category title structure: %category title%

and the page title structure: %page title%

But, why they are displaying like this, It was OK for 10 days. But, last day, It has changed

Category: %category title% | %blog title%

& Page  : %page title% | %blog title%

Because they can!!!

Basically you are crap at writing document titles and Google decided it can do better.

Personally. .... I'm inclined to agree with Google's estimation of your title writing skill.

But, what about the category and page title structure.

What about it?

Google can and does change the Titles as algorithmically based on the keyword phrase a searcher uses.

I often disagree with what they choose, but unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it.
