Hi

I'm really new to this but have had a website for years. I'm trying to get in top 3 for term 'Excel training derbyshire' or 'Excel training Yorkshire' - my site is about 7th for Derbyshire but not on first page for Yorkshire. I really don't understand how this stuff works because if yousearch for Microsoft Excel training Derbyshire we are at top. I've tried allsorts but just can't seem to get it right.  Any advice gratefully received. My site is REMOVED  thank you (and I hope I'm posting this in the right place)...

A: Rankings are NOT a useful measure of anything.

B: 'Sites' don't get 'ranked' individual URLs do.

Do you get any traffic for those phrases?

Have you done anything to promote your URLs (other than hoping that Google will magically send traffic)?

Sorry but i cannot view either of those links. What do you mean have you done anything to promote your URLs? I've submitted them to search engines, I haven't done any online advertising if that what you mean. Sorry to sound dim but as I say this is not my forte. Thanks

I've submitted them to search engines,

Which will do absolutely nothing at all

I haven't done any online advertising if that what you mean

Gonna close this thread as the question is too general and can be solved by learning what SEO is and isn't via the link provided.
