Despite my best efforts Google seems to want to include my site in its SERPS as the non www version.

It's a Wordpress site where I've used the settings to set the WordPress Address (URL) to the www version.

In Webmaster Tools I've sent the preferred version to www.

In the .htaccess file I have the following:-

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain [NC]
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.domain/$1 [R=301,L]

I'm also using Yoast SEO plugin which has added this to the home page and I must confess I don't understand:-

<link rel="canonical" href="http://www.domain/" />

Any ideas why it's decided to ignore my preferences?
