Slideshare seems to be getting a lot of google love. Is it okay to create pdfs of our website content and then post it on slideshare?

My only concern is duplicate content. Especially since slideshare allows us a profile with a link back to the site with the same content on it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If that is the kind of thing you want to do.

But why would you want people to read your content somewhere other than your website????

For more links, and google is giving slideshare a ton of love at the moment. And, as well, to get more eyeballs to my content, as my site is not currently ranking high enough.

And have you done anything to actually promote your pages to people and get visitors or are you just hoping for Google's "magic dust"  to work??
