Hi all,

I think I remember reading at some point that if your organic listings are getting good CTRs for their position in the SERPs, that will eventually lead to you getting better positions and more impressions, but I can't figure out now if this is correct.

For example, if Google notices that when they list your site at position 7 for a particular term, it gets more clicks than the average site listed in that spot, they will infer that your site is more useful and bump it up in the search results and/or give you more impressions for that term.

I can't find any source to back this up and I'm wondering if I imagined it. Thoughts?

It's not so much clicks, but clicks and whether or not the searcher comes back quickly to the SERP and tries other results.
