Time won't make your pages rank. Have you made changes to the pages and do other people even know your site exists?

As far as getting others to link to my site, I have no idea whom to contact.

And, what type of changes do I need to make?

In my profile is my website link.

Please read articles in the link I previously posted to understand what changes to make. If you're looking for a site review, you can review my seo services page.

For instance, one of my keywords would be "location electrician", or Boonville, IN electrician", "newburgh indiana electrician". One would think that those two terms would be useful, but I'm not getting any traffic.

Would YOU go looking for a 'local' electrician by using Google? No?

Me neither.

You might: ask the neighbours, look in the local paper, the local shop for postcards in the window, the local telephone book/yellow pages but probably not Google.

I think many do look at Google for that sort of thing. Years ago, no. But now, yes.

My son Googles everything. I'm not sure he even knows what yellow pages are (or white pages, for that matter). Don't think he's ever used an actual phone book for anything other than maybe something to sit on back when he was too short to reach the table.

I generally start with a Google search, even for local services. I may not end with the Google search -- once I've found a couple of possibilities there, I might check out some of the review sites or ask neighbors or whatever. And I have been known occasionally to start with recommendations from neighbors (after which I follow up with a Google search to see what I can find online about their recommended service provider ;) ). But Google search does usually figure in there somewhere, even for local providers.
