Hello,

We have a WordPress website and have a question regarding sitemaps.

The main site and the blog run on two separate installations of Wordpress.

The main site is on www.sitename.co.uk     The blog is in www.sitename.co.uk/blog/

We have installed the plug-in 'Yoast' on the main site and it has generated an xml sitemap for our main site..........so it does not show the pages in the blog. Our question is:

What would be best to do...........look to find some way of producing one site map that has ALL the pages in from the main site AND the blog or should we just have two site maps, one for each WordPress installation.

Then if the answer is for one sitemap any advice on how to do it would be appreciated!

Many Thanks

Is the navigation structure causing a problem?

It's not a problem submitting 2 XML sitemaps. You can submit as many as you want.

But you won't get any benefit other than learning if you have crawl errors.
