Hi

My site is around 7 years old and it was ranking for many targeted terms. But since 7-8 months, the ranks and SE traffic were dropping slowly and this month, I hardly have any visits from Google.

As I am active in social medias, I am getting traffic from those. But my targeted visitors are expected only from Google.

Please advice me on how to bring back my lost ranks.

Waiting for a positive reply.

Thanks

Chris, that is a very common approach from small businesses without the in-house expertise or budget to fund the type of approach that you would recommend.

Google referrals has always been a good source of almost free visitor streams for these SMEs. It's just that those relying almost solely on it must be prepared for the odd glitch from time to time.

You should remove spammy links poiting to your website. and if you can't do that, then just disallow those links via Google disallow links tool. I hope this will work.

But only if you received and unnatural links warning from Google.
