I have a whole bunch of Affiliate sites that don't use G Analytics because IO've always been suspicious of using it.

 

But I'm thinking of offloading one of them that is doing about $5,000 per month Approx, I figured after researching that on Flippa you can get on average 10X earnings which would equate to $50,000 bucks, which is cool for me, because I don't even touch this site, hence why I want to get rid of it and also before it gets slapped, because this one I've been pretty "grey" with, sort of...so I can see it getting slapped.

 

I want to sell it on Flippa and need to show reliable proof of traffic, currently I use a wordpress plugin.

 

I've heard of stories of Sites losing rankings after installing Analytics, because then G knows everything about your site.

 

Is there any truth in this?

I would ask the people who claim it's a problem. Sounds dumb to me. It's not like there's anything black hat they can detect from having GoAn on a site that they couldn't detect anyway.

Yeah, i have the same suspicion regarding Google Analytics. I have several websites, some of them have GA installed and some don't.

 

I conduct the same strategy and tactics (not entirely white, a bit grey) as well as the same kind of backlinks on them and from what i can see, the ranking on websites with Google Analytics somehow always lower and less stable than the one without it.

 

Well, just my opinion and thoughts, and the data only come from a few dozens of sites that i own so i am not sure whether it is true or not. But if you are going to sell your site on Flippa it is without doubt that you will have to use some kind of tool to track traffic.
