What about I just ask for few links per month from a high PR ranking website?
Why would they simply give them to you?

As far as I can tell, chrishirst started it off by saying that "link building will get your URL dumped by G".
Please if you are going to quote me have the decency to get it RIGHT rather your edited version that has a TOTALLY different meaning
What I ACTUALLY SAID. was ...
http://www.highranki...on/#entry326947
And link building for rankings is more likely to get your URLs dumped than ranked.
But of course the edited version does bolster your "argument" that you are a true SEO genius and we have been getting it wrong since 1995.

Can people please STOP!!! Enough Already!!!! ![]()
NO!! I did not say that I was an SEO Expert, I've never claimed to be one, once again, this has been conjured up. I am an Affiliate Marketer.
Just because I missed two words out namely: For + Rankings actually only SUPPORTS my "argument".
Because "For Rankings" is EXACTLY why I build links.
Your saying that is ooooohhhh whhooooo BAD. It's NOT.
1995? ok grandad

If, as you say are an affiliate marketer what you REALLY need is definite, guaranteed, convertible traffic from real people with a credit card or looking to change their card if that's your target audience.
The uncertainty of SE referral traffic is no good for your bottom line, sure you might link bomb your way up the ladders to "Google wonderland" and two days later Google decides a whole chunk of your links don't deserve to have any value and a big snake appears out nowhere right on your square and "Wheeee"! down, down, down that ONE URL you got there goes back into oblivion your future earnings going with it.
Now! Do you REALLY want to play snakes and ladders for your beer tokens for the rest of your life?
OR would you prefer to build up a regular, steady, reliable, stream of conversions, and have search engines bring you a bonus every now and again?

Out of interest SelfMade, how many visitors a day are you pulling in this way and what's the conversion rate.
Also, what type of Domain are you using .com or .co.uk or what ??
Plus what is the geo location of your server ??
I will understand if you don't want to reveal daily numbers, but the conversion rate would be very interesting.

Why would they simply give them to you?
Some companies sell it, not really high PR, but ~PR4.

Oh please, give it up on the SGB imaginary numbers.

I have to agree that not all linkbuilding is spam. Providing quality information and linking back to your website to let people know where you're coming from...what's wrong with that? That's like saying a reporter for the Wall Street Journal is being spammy by letting people know who he works for. Blasting Twitter and Facebook with worthless posts and links, though - that's a SPAM sandwich ![]()

Oh please, give it up on the SGB imaginary numbers.
If it means nothing why are they numbered?
HR1
HR2
HR3..etc..etc..
Or is this another dose of semantic chrishirst.

Ohhhh. So your previously undisclosed 2013 link building method is to buy links.

Cuz that's not spammy.

Who is this aimed at?
Because it wasn't me who suggested buying HR links, it was ykyant.
Just to be clear about it.
