1. Two meta data analyzer websites claim that my page does not have a meta description tag:
*img1

2. HOWEVER, two browser add-ons are telling me that there IS a meta description associated with that page:
*img2

I'm completely confused. Here's what the page source looks like:

<meta name="Starbucks Barista Q&A" />
<meta name="&quot;A woman we caught trying to steal our tips threw a ceramic mug at a barista.&quot;" />

It has an og:element description...which apparently is being identified as a meta description by some sources, but not by others!? Why is that??

(note to mods: i couldn't post the 2 screenshots above b/c my account is too new...but after you approve this post, I can post the images.)

Those are not proper Meta description tags. The meta name has to = description and then you have content="whatever your description is."

Please see my meta description article.
