No reason - just I think that within about 6 months I will have a site that is going to be pretty big (for my little niche
) and I just want to start the right way. I think Im just going through a sort of check list. I think my main anxiety just came about b/c a site I once ran was hacked into and I am sure it came via the hosting itself - a sort of top down attack rather than through an open port.

sharing an IP with a spammer is only likely to affect your ability to send emails to some providers

ok thanks but how do we check for the other domains and whether they are spammy? Would you think that my hosting would police that? My hosting is the largest in the US
