My last office job was way out in the suburbs, so there weren't any decent places to go for lunch anyway. I suppose if I worked in town there might be more opportunities for a practice like that.

There is a snooty restaurant called La brassiere or some such (I only went there most Fridays for 3 years) we call it 'the bra' anyhow, a large crowd of solicitors etc meet there on a Friday, have lunch drink copious amounts of wine, and then leave at about 5.30-6.30 all the worse for wear.
I now only do this occasionally as the thought of spending £300 on a Friday afternoon mortifies me now, oh, plus I have grown up

I work in Poole and along the quay there are loads of pubs that you can pop into for a pint or two. Trouble is if you actually try to go back to the office the amount of work that gets done is fairly little. O well, no-one seems convinced to head pubward for lunch today, maybe it has something to do with the howling gales and pouring rain

It's a long lunch break on friday, around 2 1/2 hours. We offer the Friday Prayers, and head for a eat out and be back at our seats in time.

I might have known the Dorset Demon would have a pub lunch
you cheeky monkey! I didn't go today unfortunately, instead I had to head to sainsburys to get a mothers day pressie for my brother who is hopeless at getting organised. I almost got blown off my feet in the gales that are whipping round the town centre and had to dodge seagulls and pidgeons that were being blown off course. All in all a very action packed lunch
