Hi,
I have a site I just launched about 15 days ago. When I perform a search for site:mydomain.com it shows several pages (about 500) and most of them have cache. However I have no rankings yet for extremely easy keywords related to the content.
Google webmaster tools, under Health -> Index Status shows 0 pages indexed (basic tab), and under the advanced tab 170 Not selected and the rest columns 0. Can someone please explain why this difference?
Thanks!
Carlos.

Because it's only been fifteen days. and not all datacentres / server clusters will have updated or be anywhere near synchronised. Also the lexicography of the URLs and the linking matrix will NOT have been fully evaluated as yet.

Thank you Chrishirst!, so, is it possible that after that happens Google gives the site a push in the rankings?

It may, then again it may not. It really depends on what you do with regards to real promotion, which does NOT involve chasing links for ranking and whether you have avoided the formulaic "most important keywords" approach or not.
