All I can say is, "It's about time." That being said, you can now isolate reporting within your AdSense account by "Channels" for reporting purposes.

I can't seem to get on right now. Looks like it may be down...

I couldn't get in last night either.

It looks like a great new feature. However, they could have made it even cooler by tracking the revenues by page, domain, etc. so I wouldn't have to reload new Adsense codes for each Channel.

Here's a trick for when it's "down"... Hit one of the other Google servers, like:

https://www2.google.com/adsense/

More of a basic question maybe...

I'm either lazy or ignorant. I saw the channel option but didn't do anything with it. Does it let you know what your click throughs are on different pages?

It will if you set up a separate channel for every page you put Adsense codes on.

Its great that Google has finally let us track by individual page/ content grouping. But from a usability standpoint, this seems to be a kluge. In my opinion anyways. A Channel??? Those are what I have on my TV. They could surely have added better reporting without making us go and recode every single adsense page...

Little bit of a rant, but what do you think??

I like it (aside from the limit of 20 channels). That way you can group pages or sections within a site into a single channel (as opposed to based on domain or page).

I hear you, Verster.

Why don't they just offer reporting where we can see which pages, domains, etc are generating Adsense impressions, clicks, revenue, etc.? They have the data.

Taking a stab Ed...

If they gave you that much information you might cut Google out of the loop and make deals directly with those Adsense sites that are sending you the most traffic and/or converting the best for you. I know I would if I could get a better deal directly with the site owners.

Providing copious information is always a double-edged sword if you're the middleman.

Still- seems like they could (at the minimum) group info by domain without forcing you to put new code on the page.

Question: I've been able to login to adsense w/o a problem, but the reporting for the Channels seems incredible delayed. I have channel info for March 19th and 20th, and nothing else. Anyone else having that problem?

Thanks!

Google does say that there is a 2 day delay in reporting channel information. :)
