In 2005 when I started my first websites I joined the forum of my hosting company, firstly to ask advice, and then to give advice as I gained an expertise in using the web builder software. At that time it was permitted to put links to your websites in the signature. I posted over 1500 times, and the links are still there today and gain a little traffic, but only from people wanting to see example sites using the web builder.
Now I'm using Google Analytics I can see that the majority of links to my sites come from the hosting company - which in the main part are not relevant to the sites at all.
Will Google be seeing these as bad links, and should I get my forum signature removed? (Nowadays you cannot add or delete website links from the signature, so it will have to be a special request).
I'll be losing a little traffic, but I don't think much that converts.
