I read a very recent SEO article that said if you had more than 3 keywords in your meta tags, Google would penalize you for keyword stuffing. From the old days of keywords, many of my pages have a lot of keywords like 20-30, should I remove them? I thought Google didn't pay any attention to keywords anymore?

It's ignored by google anyway, but if your onsite search doesn't use them, it wouldn't hurt to remove the tag altogether.
