Hello everyone,

I have recently taken responsibility for maintaining and updating the website of a small company. I have no real experience of adwords etc and am struggling to work out how to stop a competitors add showing under our google maps listing.

Could someone explain to me how the advert in the attached file is generated and what steps I can take to remove/outbid it?

I have tried starting an add campaign containing keywords for our company like "Fusion Antibodies" "fusionantibodies" etc, and I have also tried adding the address advert extension to that campaign, but I still can seem to displace that advert.

Many thanks for your help

Andrew

thank your very much for your reply, that helps me understand a bit better.

I am still unsure however on specifically how this works.

If add a location as outlined on those pages, will my advert show for:

A: people who are physically located inside the radius I choose (and searching for similar keywords)
B: people located anywhere in the world and searching for something near my business (eg, "biotechnology in Belfast").

The nature of my business is global, we ship to and from all countries around the world, so I need to not only target a radius around my business, but anyone searching from anywhere.

Does that make sense?

Thanks for your help
