Hey all!
Just wondering your thoughts on the advantages of having a blog on a sub-domain verse leaving it on a wordpress or blogger URL. I think the sub-domain looks more professional, but hosting it elsewhere garners better link juice/back links because it's from a different site. (I believe?)
Let me know what you think the advantages/disadvantages are to both!

You definitely don't want it hosted on WP or Blogger. Whether you have it on your site as a subdomain or a directory is up to you.

Blogspot and Wordpress.com are good platforms for learning and personal blogs but I think a business blog should be hosted on the business domain (although I'm not quite as adamant against using a third-party service as Jill). It doesn't matter if it's a subdomain or a folder.
I would not focus on link value -- that's a formula for failure.
