OK this is the thing -
One of my sites gets < 10 hits a day.
I know that I can double and triple this if I do the usual known SEO (white hat) tricks.
The site architecture is a bit of a mess (I built it back in the day) - my question is - rather than spend hours and hours figuring out which link to point where using 301 - couldn't I just see which are the "really good indexed pages" and just 301 them?
In other words, which is the best way to discover your best links and 301 just them?
Thanks

OK Let me answer myself -
I did this in google - "site:my-website.com" - and it spat out 15 pages of SER's - all my links. I guess I can just 301 those links right?
What about Yahoo and Bing? I guess trawling my GAnalytics will yield the top 5 links but am I missing something? THANKS!!

I'm confused. Why do you want to redirect pages? Especially ones that are "really good indexed pages."

Do you mean:One of my sites gets < 10 hits a day
The entire site?
One particular URL?
OR
The root URL of the site?
And by 'hits' do you mean "Search referrals"?

Hey,
I understand your question and Yes i would just redirect the lot of them. Build a new site make sure you SEO it right and redirect what you have so you get the link jucie.
Hope that helps

Based on your description, I would just rebuild the site from scratch and forget about all the "old" stuff.

Well yeah,
Thats the way I like to do it, redirect all the old pages (delete them) but redirect the urls to the relevent new pages and be on your way.
