Hi. I run a games news and review site. Daily content tends to revolve around copied press releases from companies, as such the same or very similar content will appear on many sites.

We also have unique reviews and articles on a weekly ish basis.

I have noticed since panda, my traffic has dropped.

I was wondering, if this is to do with the press releases, should I consider adding noindex on all news older than a few days so only the reviews and articles are looked at?

Site is 5 years old so has several thousand news items and a few hundred unique articles.

I cant use robots.txt as the urls do not have a unique folder structure sadly.

Thanks in advance.

Try it, see if it makes a difference, nobody can actually say categorically what effect, if any, it will make to your pages and you lose nothing by testing it.
