Indeed! Happy St. Patrick's Day! The question remains... is Jill drunk yet? I know back in Boston, the partying starts really early. However, I am sure thats nothin compared to what the true Irish do. :ale: :D

People say that Boston Irish are more Irish than Irish Irish. This town goes crazy today. I think I'll hide.

The biggest benefit of longer living out there: I don't feel obligated to participate! :ale:

And the two time zones earlier makes it easier to handle the late night drunken calls I will be receiving from old friends later tonight.

St. Patrick's Day
-----------------------------

Oh, my mother isn't Irish
And my father isn't too,
But today I feel as Irish
As the really Irish do.

For today I wear a shamrock
That is green in every way
And though I am Canadian,
I am Irish -- for today!

Gosh, they party every day in Southie. Might be a little bit earlier than the normal 9:00 a.m. come to think of it. But that's not why there is a party. School is out in Boston for Evacuation Day (the anniversary of the day on which the British army evacuated the city of Boston, circa 1776).

Happy Evacuation Day

Hope nobody is still holding a grudge

LOL! I'm mostly Irish, thank you very much.

Erin go Braugh!

Savannah Ga is the place to be in the South for St Paddy's day- I've never been, but I've heard the legends. It ranks just after NY and Boston for the largest St Paddy's day festivities in the US.

Well, we don't rank with Boston or Savannah, but our friendly Twin Cities neighbor St. Paul always has quite a St. Paddy's day party. Irish beer, party buses to take you to the next Irish bar that serves Irish beer, more party buses...

I think I'll head to my regular neighborhood bar to celebrate. I'm not much into Irish beer, but Sierra Nevada Extra Pale Ale does come in a green bottle.

Ironically, one of the bartenders name is Paddy.
