Hello All,

First time on here so please bear with me if this seems a daft question.... wacko.gif

When you post comments with anchor text on another site and create a backlink, is it better to continue posting comments day after day with your link being repeated over and over again, or does google just index the link from your very first post and then ignore all the other links you post ?

Thanks in advance

Pat

Let's assume I'm talking about contextual links on blog comments approved by the blog owner !

I think what Chris is saying is that the purpose of a blog comment is to add value to the original post, and to engage in a dialogue with the blogger and other visitors. It's not a vehicle for getting links to your own site.

(My apologies if I'm misrepresenting your words, Chris.)

If the blog owner wants to allow you to have links, then as many and as often as they want to give them to you would be fine.

Trying to over think how many and how often is usually associated with getting fake links simply for link popularity purposes, which is not a good way to get links these days.
