I have a 10 year old site that has a lot of quality links, is a PR6 and a lot of top rankings in Google.
I have a two year old site, wiht a lot of links, has a PR of 5, but doesn't really rank well in search engines.
Could I 301 redirect the two year old site to my old site to send the juice over?
Could I possibly get penalized for doing that?

Yes you could and no you won't.

But if you think the "age" and the SGB are going to make a difference you'll probably be disappointed.
