Dears,

a client needs to create a website for affiliates.

The website will contain an iframe or a popup that loads the database of the original website.

what I know from seo perspective, this iframe or popup won't count as pages on the new site. And I know the more content the site site contains the better for search engines to rank well.

So, is it a good idea to invest in a website like this?

I think he can add a blog and some additional content but I believe that won't be equal to the huge database the original site has.

any other suggestions? or it is not a good idea to invest in that website?

I think that too. But the client insists on going through that website & becoming in top 10...

Well anyone can get to the top 10 on keyword phrases that no one is searching for. You could focus on those

And as there are affiliates we have to assume that it is something of a competive market place, so just having optimised content is not going to cut it.
