Here's what I've done so farfor my Index.shtml file, am I going along the right lines?

CODE
<meta name="description" content="Byrne Computing Services provide a range of IT services such a Virus Removal,Malware Removal,Web Design,Xbox 360 Repairs & PS3 Repairs. Located in Athy,Co. Kildare Ireland"/>

<meta name="Keyword" content="Computer Repair, Virus Removal, Malware Removal, Web Design, Xbox 360 Repair, PS3 Repair, RROD, YLOD, JTAG, Drive Flashing, Athy, Co. Kildare, Ireland"/>

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

I plan to be page specfic as I get to each individual page, but kept it broad for the homepage

Search engines definitely concentrate on title and meta tag. I have recently experienced it.
So, how could you say my dear friend that That won't do any good.

Don't know what you've "experienced" - but it most definitely was not Google paying attention to the keywords meta tag. They pay attention to other meta tags, but the keywords meta is not one of them...

It's not meta tagstoyu need, it's to use your keywords in the content and to market your site so others know about.

Please read our Tips for Newbies to learn more about SEO.

I'm pretty happy with the keywords being in the content of my other pages, I was just under the impression the metatags were an "additional extra" the search engine crawlers would look for

No, they're not. Which is why I implore you to please read the Tips for Newbies.

I'm going to close this thread now since it looks like you got the help you need in regarding the tags.
