Does hosting multiple websites in one hosting account have an effect to SEO? for example i buy a domain from a provider that allows unlimited hosting of domains and I have 5 websites in there will this affect how Google will index the sites?

Also will a dedicated Ip address help my SEO ranking?

If all your sites are selling the same products or services, and all your sites are only linked to from each other, then yes, I would say it could have an effect.

If none of the above, then it shouldn't be a problem.
