Ok, I know he's a great guy and I know he has a good relationship with Google but this is the first time I've seen a person's photo in the SERPS:

I realize it goes to his Google+1 Profile.
Unfortunately, Google launched +1 without allowing Google Apps users to create a profile....

It's from using the rel=author and other new tags.
I'm using it too, but so far I haven't seen my pic show up. It's still in beta with just a few people having it.
