How do I check if a 301 redirect was implemented from one domain to another?
I sent the request to my IT department to redirect one domain to another. While it is redirecting traffic, I have a suspicion it was not a 301 redirect. Is there a way I can verify this?

Try using web-sniffer.net -- you should see the status code returned by your server for the redirected URL.

that works perfect, thanks! Turns out it was a 301, but it was going to the domainname.com, which was in turn 301'd to the www.domainname.com. No use in pushing people through multiple 301 redirects.
