A bed and breakfast client came back from a marketing seminar all excited about the potential of schema markup for their website. For me, this is all new and I'd like to know if it's worth the extra effort. After all, it's from the same Google-Bing-Yahoo collaboration that gave us Sitemaps.xml

I would say that at this point, it's likely not worth the effort to add into an existing site. However, if you have the right sort of site that it was made for, it might be worthwhile when doing a redesign to add the proper new mark-up.
