How are you tracking how users use your site's navigation and features? I am thinking of putting urchin tracking on everything for now, but there are downsides.

How are you doing this? Any best practices? I am doing research on the web and am not finding much.

Google analytics site overlay can do this without any extra code. It's not perfect but gives decent info.

CrazyEgg also has an awesome tool to track click data when testing your UI and it's not expensive.

I find clients really like seeing this data rather than a bunch of numbers.
