I have a client that I do some marketing and website design work for and I just found out that the host for this client's site is blocking all Countries except the USA from seeing the site. The host says that they have had multiple "Dictionary Attacks" from hackers outside the USA, so they have blocked traffic from those countries.
Other than the obvious, which is a decrease in international traffic and sales, can anyone see any other down side, from an SEO perspective on this practice?
Thanks,
Matt

Faced with this situation, I wouldn't waste a moment. I'd immediately contact the client and strongly advise them to change hosting company.
