We are trying to track our outbound links using Google Analytics and the Wordpress plugin [removed], in order to get statistics for our PPC campaign. Our method involves clocking all outbound links as www.ourwebsite.co.uk/go/outboundlink. We then assume that by setting our goal match as "head match", and our goal URL as "/go", this should then register as a goal whenever a visitor clicks the outbound link. This method however doesn't seem to be tracking. In the content section of Google Analytics, the new links we have created using Pretty Links do not appear, and no goals are being recorded. Does anyone have experience using Pretty Links, or general advice on how best to track outbound links?
