On a well established blog with many inbond links, I post articles 500-1000 words. These get copied word for word by other sites which other no unique content just duplicate other sites.
Google then put the content spam site on first page, but original article doesn't feature. This has happened for several articles
Why does google reward the spam site which duplicates?
Is there anything you can do about it?

This is big issue on Panda algorithms 2.1, Google is now fixing this issue as number one priority on Panda 2.2, they said it will launch very soon.

You could try reporting the issue to Google and ask them to de-list the offending page.
