Hi

Any thoughts on the Google +1 button?

It's probably about as useful as the "thumb up" "thumb down" buttons are/were on the toolbar.

I've added it to my blogs but I haven't really seen any benefit. The button only tells people within your Google social network that you "like" some content you found somewhere. If you don't have a large Google social network, you won't have much impact on anyone else's traffic.

The buttons will help if you have passionate visitors who also have large Google social networks.

People are complaining that they add 1-2 seconds to page load time. I haven't clocked it on my blogs but I'm using a fairly minimal site design.
