I'm using the Open Graph Tags in addition to the "Like" button. By doing so, you control the title, description, thumbnail photo and URL. If your content has any tracking parameters or GA tagging, you can make sure you are sharing the canonical part of the URL.
I'm using the following open graph tags:
<meta property="og:title" content=""/>
<meta property="og:description" content=""/>
<meta property="og:type" content="Article"/>
<meta property="og:url" content=""/>
<meta property="og:image" content=""/>
<meta property="og:site_name" content=""/>
<meta property="fb:admins" content=""/>
