A client of mine is wanting to use an email marketing service that allows them to email market to subscribers that at one point or another, agreed to be contacted by third party vendors. The service says my client would be considered as one of the third party vendors.
Although the service appears to be operating within the guidelines of CAN-SPAM, and claims to be 100% above board, I have always stayed clear of these types of lists and have always only used direct permission based subscriber lists in the past.
I am going to advise my client to not use this service, but before I do, can anyone out there offer any insight on third party vendor lists?
