India & Pakistan Gear Up For Historic Cricket Tour
Posted 12 March 2004 - 08:58 AM
India-Pakistan matches are highly charged affairs and are often described as "war minus the shooting" because of decades of political animosity between two countries.
The series, which was almost thrown into jeopardy because of the Parliament elections in India, will also witness unprecedented security arrangements to ensure that no untoward incident takes place during the 40-day tour, which also has political overtones.

Indian batting is very strong compare to Pakistan. But i agree Pakistan bowlers are having an upperhand over India in the bowling department.
Pakistan will be under more pressure because a single loss against India in the Pakistan soil will lower the morale of the entire team. The team which can handle pressure will be victourius end of the day.
Let's see what happens tommorow.

There are ball by ball updates on Pakistan v India.
Do not forget WI v Eng as well! Latest: "Butcher hit a patient 58 off 197 balls as he shared a 119-run Sabina Park third wicket record with Nasser Hussain as England ended day two on 154-3. He said: "It was great to get off the mark at Sabina Park because last time I was out for a duck... After losing two quick wickets, the number three's job is to steady the ship and I was pleased to do just that... It was a real scrap out there against the fast bowlers"...Butcher was out in the 3.1 overs which were possible after tea following a two-hour rain delay... The Surrey left-hander praised rookie pace duo Fidel Edwards, who took 3-50, and Tino Best.
Let's keep this thread going and really confuse the Americans on the forum. You thought that SEO rules & terminology were tricky!:-)

India won the first match!!!!!!! :jumpingjack: :jumpingjack:
India overcame a blistering century by Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul haq to score a thrilling five-run victory in the first one-day international.
Anyway it was an ideal batting pitch so no point in blaming bowlers. It was a real run feast. Hope this will continue in coming matches also.
